The Opportunity

Executive Search Consultant – Delivery | New York | Competitive Base + Bonus

This is a high-visibility, delivery-focused role built for someone who wants real ownership of the search process – from mapping the market through to offer – without years of hierarchy standing between them and the client relationship. You’ll be working directly alongside a senior partner who came into the business with zero prior search experience and built their way to seven-figure billings, and you’ll be on the same track.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

  • Own delivery across live retained searches – market mapping, candidate identification, outreach, and presentation
  • Work directly with senior leadership on every search, with full visibility of the client relationship from day one
  • Be part of client update calls from the outset, building toward leading them as you grow into the role
  • Focus on high-impact, VP/Director/C-suite level searches across medical technology, manufacturing, and innovation-led industries
  • Build toward a genuine path into business development — no fixed timeline, driven by readiness, not tenure
  • Work in a flat, two-person-per-search model with direct access to leadership and zero unnecessary layers

Who You Are

You’ve got somewhere between 18+ months and 6-7 years of experience in retained search (senior level contingency experience also considered), and ideally a background touching technical, manufacturing, or scientific industries. Most importantly, you’ve got grit – you’re proactive, you take ownership without being asked twice, and you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty to get a search over the line.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment with real accountability
  • Naturally proactive – you look around corners rather than waiting to be told
  • Strong communication and relationship-building instincts
  • Genuinely curious about the industries you’d be working in, not just the paycheck
