About the Opportunity

A globally recognised professional recruitment firm with a presence across more than 30 countries is looking for a senior Business Development Specialist to drive growth within its IT staffing practice in Toronto.

This is a consultative, partnership-focused sales role — ideal for an experienced recruiter or sales professional who thrives on building meaningful client relationships and taking genuine ownership of their market. You’ll work within a collaborative, non-transactional culture that values long-term thinking, integrity, and career development at every level.

What You Will Do

  • Develop new business opportunities across the IT staffing sector in the Greater Toronto Area
  • Re-activate and grow existing accounts within an established client database
  • Build long-term relationships through consultative, strategic client engagement
  • Collaborate closely with the delivery team to ensure successful and high-quality placements
  • Attend select networking events to expand reach and presence within target markets
  • Mentor and support junior consultants as the team continues to grow
  • Work strategically with leadership to identify high-potential accounts and drive market expansion

What We Are Looking For

  • 3–5 years of proven sales experience within IT staffing or professional recruitment
  • A strong track record in business development, networking, and client relationship management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Proactive and high-energy, with the confidence to lead senior client conversations
  • Based in the Greater Toronto Area, with enthusiasm for in-person client and candidate engagement
  • Growth-oriented with a clear ambition to progress into leadership over time

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: $75k- $85k commensurate with experience
  • Strong commission structure rewarding high performance and consistent growth
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health coverage and RRSP matching
  • Hybrid working model — 3 days in office, downtown Toronto (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)
  • 4 weeks paid vacation from day one, plus federal holidays
