About the Opportunity

A well-established recruitment and staffing firm is investing in the launch of a dedicated Life Sciences division and is looking for an experienced recruiter to help build it from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the very start of a new chapter. Rather than inheriting an existing desk, you’ll help shape the division’s direction, establish its market presence, and position yourself as a foundational contributor in one of Canada’s fastest-growing talent markets.

The initial focus will be across Canada with a particular emphasis on Ontario and a clear strategic vision to expand into the US market, where higher-value mandates and larger volumes create significant long-term earning and growth potential.

What You Will Do

  • Identify, attract, and engage specialist Life Sciences professionals across Canada
  • Recruit across niche Life Sciences functions including Medical Affairs, MSLs, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety, Clinical Operations, Laboratory & Scientific Leadership, and Life Sciences Sales & Marketing
  • Support hiring needs across Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device, CRO, and broader Life Sciences organizations
  • Headhunt passive talent for niche and hard-to-fill mandates
  • Build long-term candidate pipelines and map target markets across specialist disciplines
  • Conduct candidate qualification, assessment, and structured interview processes
  • Deliver high-quality shortlists against active client mandates
  • Partner with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to understand workforce requirements
  • Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of a newly launched Life Sciences practice

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven recruitment experience within Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device, Clinical Research, or CRO markets
  • Agency recruitment background strongly preferred
  • Comfortable headhunting and building networks within niche technical markets
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to build and grow a desk from an early stage
  • Commercially motivated with ambitions for both financial success and long-term career progression
  • Strong relationship-building skills across both client and candidate audiences
  • Someone who wants to help build something not simply maintain what already exists

Compensation and Benefits
