Our client is a well-established recruitment firm specializing in Finance & Accounting talent across Canada and the U.S. Their reputation has been built on quality, long-term client partnerships, and a consultative, high-touch service model.

Working primarily with mid-sized organizations, they support hiring across accounting and finance functions by partnering closely with Controllers, CFOs, Directors of Finance, and HR leaders. Their structure allows senior sales professionals to focus on revenue generation while dedicated delivery teams manage sourcing and recruitment execution.

The Role and Responsibilities

This is a pure sales-focused leadership role centered around business development, account growth, and client relationship management.

You will be responsible for:

  • Winning new Finance & Accounting clients across the GTA
  • Building and managing relationships with Controllers, CFOs, Directors of Finance, and HR leaders
  • Focusing on mid-sized businesses and long-term hiring partnerships
  • Leading client meetings, closing deals, and managing service quality
  • Overseeing account growth and retention across your portfolio
  • Working closely with recruiters who handle sourcing and delivery
  • Partnering with sales support teams managing prospecting and outreach
  • Using retained search models to secure senior-level search commitments

This role removes the delivery work, allowing you to focus entirely on business development and revenue growth.

Skills and Qualifications Needed to Be Successful

This role is ideal for someone who brings:

  • Strong Finance & Accounting recruitment sales experience
  • Proven success in business development and client acquisition
  • Established relationships across Controllers, CFOs, and Finance leadership teams
  • Strong understanding of permanent recruitment and consultative selling
  • Confidence operating independently in a remote environment
  • A highly commercial mindset with strong earning motivation
  • Financial Services recruitment experience may also be considered with relevant market credibility
