The Role and Responsibilities

As a Business Development Specialist – IT, you’ll be responsible for driving new business and growing relationships across both new and existing accounts. This is a senior-level, client-facing role — ideal for a  sales professional who thrives on partnership-based selling and strategic account management.

In this position, you will:

  • Develop new business opportunities across the IT staffing sector.
  • Re-activate and grow existing accounts within the firm’s established database.
  • Build long-term relationships through consultative client engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with the delivery team to ensure successful placements.
  • Attend select networking events to expand reach within the right market audience.
  • Work strategically with leadership to identify high-potential accounts and drive market expansion.

Skills and Qualifications Needed to Be Successful

  • 1–5 years of proven sales experience within IT staffing/recruitment.
  • A successful record in business development, networking, and client relationship management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A proactive, high-energy approach with the confidence to lead client conversations.
  • Based in the Greater Toronto Area, with enthusiasm for in-person client and candidate meetings.
  • A growth-oriented individual who can envision a path to leadership.
