Job Description

Our client, a leading recruitment and staffing firm recognized nationally for excellence, is seeking an Account Manager to join their Vancouver/BC team. This role blends Account Management and Business Development, focusing on nurturing existing government IT accounts, developing new client relationships, and ensuring high-quality candidate placements across permanent and contract roles.

The Role and Responsibilities  

As an Account Manager, you will:

  • Manage and grow government IT accounts, including BC Hydro, BC Education, and broader provincial government accounts
  • Develop new relationships and support business development efforts within the public sector
  • Lead day-to-day candidate operations: submissions, preparation, scheduling, and feedback for both candidates and clients
  • Provide consultative guidance to clients and candidates, ensuring a high-quality placement experience
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless service experience
  • Maintain a strong understanding of government hiring processes, portals, and client-specific requirements

Skills and Qualifications you need to be successful 

  • Proven experience managing accounts in IT, government, or public sector environments
  • Strong client relationship, communication, and consultative skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and high-volume workflows effectively
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a focus on long-term client and candidate success
  • Comfortable with a mix of account management and business development responsibilities
  • Based in Vancouver or elsewhere in BC with remote work capability
