Job Description

Our client is a highly technical recruitment consultancy serving the electronics, energy, and semiconductor industries in Europe and North America and is looking for a remote experienced Technical Business Development Specialist to join it’s Canadian team. Headquartered in the UK and with operations in Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, and South America, they are a company that truly never sleeps.

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be first on the ground in Canada to develop their Semiconductor staffing practice across North America
  • You will focus initially on short-cycle sales of the search services for the Semiconductors business unit to support the addition of their new team (desk)
  • This is a high impact, client facing role at the heart of the company, characterized by high and deliberate outreach by you, initially as a “lone wolf”, with fulfilment help provided from UK and Canada
  • Currently, there is a team of 45 in the UK and 3 Recruiters working in Canada (Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal)
  • This role will work normal core hours remotely plus any additional time related to Western time zones as needed, being careful to be readily accessible online and punctual to meetings
  • Our client will look at the number of meetings booked and number of calls/outreach made in the beginning as measurements of success
  • Once one enterprise account is landed, more focus will be on billings (as these accounts are huge)
  • The focus will be solely on permanent placements at this time, although expanding to contract is planned
  • Fluent in English, engaging, and an excellent communicator, you will extend our client’s network and develop relationships
  • You will hit the ground running, hopefully with a book of business, or at least a transferable network you can reach out to from the start
  • Relationships will be built at multiple levels of target companies, and sales will be primarily driven through online activities (email, LinkedIn, video, and VoIP)
  • There will be opportunities to develop your career as a Business Development Director as the team grows
  • Targets will be set for your team and you will update senior management weekly on your team’s progress

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • 3+ years’ experience in Technical Staffing sales, at least 1 year of Enterprise sales, and a track record of success
  • You are intelligent, loyal, proactive and determined, with a proven track record of exceeding targets
  • Loyal and committed to our client’s vision and you are looking to build a long-standing career within the company
