The Role and Responsibilities

  • In Toronto the three areas of main focus of our clients’ business is Tech and this role is to lead the business development in the Tech team
  • The successful candidate will be focused growing contract tech business specifically
  • Typical bill rates for the business that they pursue is $100 p/h + so they are really going after the more senior end of business and work in a quality not quantity type of way
  • You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive/outgoing personality
  • Our client is looking for an individual who has a balance of new business spirit and management of existing accounts, as there is already a book of business to inherit and you’ll be responsible for the growth of that business too
  • The goal is at least 50% of time spent on new business so that there is a constant pipeline
  • In addition to this, they also need someone who can navigate the MSP world and be involved in RFP’s / RFQ’s, when there’s a need.
  • The Tech group business overall is 70% contract and the goal is to keep that and increase it.

Skills and Qualifications Needed to be Successful

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT recruitment business development in the GTA market industry is required
  • 3-5 years experience in a leadership position
  • Able to go into the downtown office 3 days per week
  • Ability to build relationships and inspire an environment of trust across the team

  • Salary for this role will depend on which level the person joins
  • Competitive salary ranging between $100K and $125K base, depending on years’ experience/performance
