Our client partners the world’s renewable energy leaders who are now busier than ever and are currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Head of Operations, Solar to join their team based in Houston, Texas.

The Role and Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, develop and motivate a team of Consultants at various levels ensuring consistently high levels of performance; attracting and retaining top talent in a culture based on our clients’ values
  • Reporting to the VP for the Americas region, with close collaboration with leaders from across the organization, the Head of Operations, Solar will build company presence in the solar, storage and hydrogen renewable energy markets, leading that part of business in the US, supported by a Sales Director focused on business development
  • Develop relationships with new and existing candidates and clients, networking to develop your reputation as a subject matter expert/go-to player in the market; and partnering on sales efforts with the Sales Director
  • Utilize market information learned in order to work collaboratively with the team and the wider business to build the strategy for the region
  • Ownership of delivery team P&L and regional expansion, working with the VP of Americas and Finance
  • Our client is looking for someone who can make a significant and long-term contribution to the business and will make the most of the real opportunities for career development and progression offered from the outset

Skills and Qualifications Needed to be Successful

  • You are autonomous, entrepreneurial, ambitious and hard working (willing to put in extra time to build the empire)
  • Hybrid work model from a Houston Office with some travel
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Renewable Energy staffing, with some exposure to solar required
