Job Description

Our client, a well-established and values-driven business, is seeking a Commercial Account Handler to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful client relationships, managing their own portfolio, and delivering a high standard of service in a supportive, non-bureaucratic environment.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a Commercial Account Handler, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with an established portfolio of clients. The role is consultative in nature and focused on understanding client needs and delivering the right solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of commercial clients and acting as their main point of contact

  • Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments, and day-to-day account queries

  • Building strong, long-term relationships through a proactive and service-led approach

  • Liaising with insurers and internal stakeholders to secure appropriate terms

  • Supporting clients with claims and policy-related matters as required

  • Maintaining accurate client records and documentation

  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to share knowledge and best practice

Skills and Qualifications Needed to be Successful

  • Previous experience in a client-facing or account-handling role

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills

  • A customer-first mindset with a consultative approach

  • Confident managing your own workload and client portfolio

  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team environment

  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
