Job Description

Our client is a global recruitment firm recognized for its high-performance culture, people-first philosophy, and proven success in connecting exceptional talent with leading organizations. With strong roots in North America and a rapidly growing presence in the Canadian market, this firm is known for its collaborative approach, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to delivering results with integrity and precision.

They specialize in building long-term partnerships across IT and Creative sectors, offering consultants the opportunity to thrive in a supportive, growth-oriented environment where innovation meets impact.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a Business Development Specialist, you’ll play a key role in expanding the firm’s IT and Creative client base throughout the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. You’ll lead conversations that turn prospects into lasting partnerships — supported by a dedicated delivery team that ensures every placement meets the highest standard of quality.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Building and nurturing relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Identifying opportunities for permanent and contract placements within the IT and Creative sectors.
  • Collaborating closely with a strong recruitment and delivery team to meet client demand efficiently.
  • Developing go-to-market strategies to open new accounts and re-engage lapsed ones.
  • Participating in leadership-led sales initiatives, client meetings, and industry networking events.
  • Working toward clear growth milestones that open pathways to senior and leadership roles.

This isn’t a transactional sales role — it’s a consultative position focused on building long-term partnerships and delivering meaningful impact.

Skills and Qualifications Needed to Be Successful

  • 5+ years of sales or business development experience within staffing, preferably in IT or Creative recruitment.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and expand existing accounts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a relationship-first approach.
  • A consultative sales mindset with the ability to engage decision-makers and close deals.
  • Self-driven and motivated, with a passion for achieving measurable results.
  • Based in the GTA with the ability to attend client meetings and work in a hybrid office environment.

Value Proposition

  • Competitive base salary with an uncapped commission structure.
  • Supportive delivery infrastructure – you focus on client relationships while recruiters deliver quality talent.
  • Comprehensive benefits plan with coverage starting Day 1.
  • Generous paid time off and personal days.
  • Performance-based incentives, recognition programs, and career development opportunities.
  • A collaborative, high-energy culture that rewards initiative, creativity, and teamwork.

If you’re ready to take your business development career to the next level — working with a global staffing leader that celebrates success, collaboration, and results — we’d love to hear from you.
