The Role and Responsibilities

  • This role will technically be at Assistant Vice President level and report directly to the SVP/Director
  • You will build out a team selling A&F staffing to Commerce and Industry clients meaning Finance roles in non Financial Services companies (eg, the CFO of Nike, or the controller of Amazon etc)
  • Ideally the Business Development Manager will bring a book of business with clients outside of Finance and be able to sell A&F staffing services to those clients
  • You will build and run your own 360 desk as this is a working manager role
  • The company is a world leader in Actuarial, Insurance and Financial Services recruitment with an excellent culture, prime location and great compensation/benefit
  • Ambitious, polished & strategic people work here 5-10 years’ experience in business development staffing in Insurance and ideally someone in the US who works the NY, NJ territory and not a relocation
  • Make largely outbound calls and digital outreach to Accounting and Financial services professionals (listed above) in commerce and industry
  • Need to have a high call volume but overall they are based on quality not quantity
  • The team comprises fun loving, highly intelligent, outgoing members, who are polished and who enjoy a very collaborative culture

Skills and Qualifications Needed to be Successful

  • To be successful in this role you will need high ambition, go getting attitude and eager to make placements and change peoples lives
  • You’ll love being a team player and being highly collaborative, and will love the thought of being amongst a high performing team and in office, based in Manhattan, New York – at least 3 days per week
  • A can do and will do attitude that wants to be part of a high performing team
