With a track record of success and a client-focused approach, they are expanding their Mississauga team and are seeking a dynamic seasoned Business Developer to drive their growth and success further.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a Business Developer you will be instrumental in expanding their client base, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. Your primary focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and promoting our clients’ comprehensive suite of staffing and recruitment solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented professional with a passion for sales and a strong understanding of the staffing industry.

  • Identify and prioritize target clients and industries based on market research and business objectives.
  • Proactively prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking events, referrals, and other sales tactics.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and consultative sales meetings with prospective clients to understand their staffing challenges and objectives.
  • Develop tailored staffing solutions and proposals that address client needs and align with company capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, HR professionals, and hiring managers within client organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including recruiters and account managers, to ensure smooth transitions and exceptional service delivery to clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to position our client as a trusted partner and industry leader.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and performance metrics as outlined by the company.
  • Focus will be on mid-sized companies across Canada (mostly in GTA), looking at IT.
  • Currently 80% permanent/20% contract but looking towards 50/50 going forward, increasing contract client base.
  • Must be familiar with the GTA client landscape, Zoom and face-to-face meetings are encouraged and use Bullhorn as their ATS

Skills and Qualifications Needed to be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management, within the staffing or recruitment industry.
  • Strong understanding of staffing solutions, recruitment processes, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.

Value and Benefits

  • Salary range of $70,000-$100,000, dependent on experience
  • Commission
  • Hybrid working (Wednesday & Thursdays in office)
