Our client is growing quickly and is looking for a talented Business Development Consultant to join their team in Mississauga OR Toronto.

The Role and Responsibilities

  • This is an intermediate/senior sales individual that is a hunter at heart and loves the thrill of finding new business.
  • Once the new business and orders are in, you will then manage those accounts and keep them active.
  • There is a very strong delivery team (70% fill rate) so you will pass the searching and sourcing of viable candidates to them, and focus on continued business development
  • You can sell perm or contract business – the current emphasis is increasing perm business
  • Dormant accounts will also be treated as “new” so there could be some history to leverage, however they will not be currently billing clients
  • There is potential to build a team around you over time, though not required
  • This is a hybrid work model requiring you to work autonomously and be in office two days per week
  • This role could suit someone that has experience in a smaller shop and is looking for stability and growth in a tricky market within a well-recognized firm

Skills and Qualifications Needed to be Successful

  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive/outgoing personality
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in staffing, 3+ being BD focused 
  • An autonomous personality is key and someone that drives business growth
